The FundaMENTALLY Healthy project is not just about immediate mental health support; it’s about building lasting social cohesion and empowering individuals to become active citizens in their communities.
FundaMentally Healthy is a free, accessible, 7 week programme funded by The National Lottery The programme breakdowns mental health education and suicide prevention through shared experiences, open conversations and connection with others.
Session topics: Overview of Mental Health, Stress, Anxiety, Confidence & Self-Esteem, Positivity, Goal Setting and Fundamentals of Asset-based Community Development.
The programme includes a series of 7 x 2-hour sessions on mental health, followed by a training day for a Level 2 First Aid Mental Health Qualification.
Up to 15 people received 8 x 1-hour 1-to-1 counselling sessions, helping them manage their mental health without waiting lists.
Training and mentoring were provided to participants to encourage community engagement and the development of wellness solutions.
